This is the 200th fractal I've uploaded to an online gallery since I started making fractal art! Most of my art can be found here in my deviantART gallery, but others are from before my time here (and aren't very good in my opinion ). It's been a journey!
A big thanks to everyone who has commented, faved, featured, watched and silently appreciated my art!
200th piece uploaded here, not ever made, I'm assuming? I've done probably over 1000 flames, but have only posted around 475, mainly here. So either you are extremely picky about what you post, or you really do spend a great deal of time on your fractal art. Probably the latter.
Congrats, and keep on doing what you are doing, I really do find viewing artists that can constantly push the boundaries of their mediums to be very enjoyable.
This is the 200th fractal I've uploaded to the internet. I started on Renderosity (but that account is now all gone... I don't like R'osity).
I've rendered *several* thousand fractals (my ~/Flames/ directory has 23GB in it ). I used to post more of what I made (I was submitting a new fractal every couple days when I first started). But now I develop an idea over several weeks.
I usually save 5-10 fractals similar fractals in an evening and render them over night and into the next day. They're usually very similar: I play with the colours, weight and design, but keep the overall style. If I like one of the renders I'll post it or develop it further the next time I play with Apo. Often I play around with plugins to get a desired effect. If I get bored I make something totally different and start the process over again.
So, yeah... I'm both picky and spend a lot of time
I've always had the best results when I just take one flame and tweak the hell out of it, looking for new designs, new colors, etc., and I guess it is a tried and true method.
I actually do like that you have a keen eye for what you do actually post, it shows you use this site to showcase your best works, not just as a repository.
