this is amazing!!
i thought this was a photograph at first. Damn, Joel, the shading and texturing of this is absolutely wonderful; the bubbles look completely touchable. That's very very cool. I really don't think this fractal is suited for a vertical canvas, though. I think a landscape canvas, with a more regular aspect ratio, would fit this piece better.
There's some good motion and flow to it, kind of like a river over rocks, but not enough for the elongated vertical canvas to be truly effective, which is really what long vertical canvases achieve. With your pieces "Forgotten" and "Twisted Logic", for instance -- both of them have great motion, and you want to scroll more to get the full effect of the fractal. With this one, though, there is too much horizontal & diagonal motion for the vertical canvas to work. It's almost like there's too much to look at up and down. Anyway, love the bubbles, would love to see more like this. -- Avatar fueled by the lovely =psivamp Subscription fueled by the lovely *TearsAndThunder [link] Thank you for helping me smile. thats very nice Joel, the only critique i have is that the color is very monotone, id love to see some purples or green show up in highlights
