oh. Thanks for the explaining. I have Mac, I can only use the GIMP plugin and flam3. I have used flam3 from time to time, but it is really inconvenient because of the missing GUI. I envy Apophysis User! I am too lazy and too broke to install Windows on my Mac.
I didn't know flam3 could do tiles. I would love to be able to that!
I first learned about Apophysis after using The Gimp plugin. Without that, my brother, *MichaelFaber, and I wouldn't be here! The Gimp plugin and flam3 only allow for mutations, which are essentially random changes in the parameters. Apophysis has an editor which allows for very finely tuned parameter files. I use this to do Tiling, and all my flames for that matter. If you have an Intel Mac you can use a port of Wine called Darwine to run Apophysis. [link]
